Oh the poor poor veggies…

9 Aug

There I was all worried about how I’d deal with 22 points of food on a work day and everything turned out perfect. 🙂 The veggies I took really rounded out my lunch and helped keep me full throughout the day so I wasn’t starved and low in points by dinner time. Yah!

On top of all that I found out that a friend of mine actually reads my blog, hi R!! 😀 lol. I know people read this, hello? I have a stats page but now I have a face and name to put to one of my readers.

Oh and on top of that, lol, I keep getting giddy when I think of my last weigh in which I gotta say, is often. I am not obsessed in a bad away about my weight (at this point anyways-teehee) but I keep thinking of how I am getting lower in weight and how I haven’t been this light in years and what can I say, it makes me grin. I grin even wider when I get dressed and notice how my clothes are fitting differently. It’s not like I need to go shopping for a whole new wardrobe or anything but pants fit looser and so do my hoodies and work shirts. It’s awesome! 😀

me as a food nerd thinking about what else but food? lol

Ok, enough with my gloating, I am just so excited that weight watchers seems to be working I keep concentrating on it, lol, I am becoming a weight nerd! Is there already such a thing or am I the first one? I should start a facebook group…:P

Today I ate:

2 weetabix biscuits = 2 points

1/2 cup 1% milk = 1 point

1 1/2 cup strawberries = 1 point

1/2 cup Heinz Maple Flavoured Baked Beans = 2 points

1 piece toast = 1 point

2 triangles Light Laughing Cow cheese = 1 point

mixed raw veggies = 0 points

1 Chicken Breast stuffed with broccoli and cheese = 7 points

grilled veggies = 0 points

1/2 cup mashed yams = 1.5 points

2 Maple cookies = 4 points

1/2 cup 1% milk = 1 point

That puts me at 21.5 points, I don’t have anything that is half a point and no way am I going over so I will stick with being half under. 🙂

The grilled veggies were not good tonight, they are the same grilled veggies I raved about in yesterdays post only problem with them today is they got burned to a crisp…literally. It’s my fault, they cook at a higher temp for less time then the chicken and I thought if I put them in with the chicken they’d be ok since they were cooking at a lower temp for not a crazy longer amount of time. Unfortunatly, I failed to take in to account that my oven cooks hotter then what it says and well, geez, checking on them to see how they were doing didn’t really cross my mind. Ooops! So some of the veggies were alright but most were charred which is  a pisser cause they are so yummy when cooked properly. Ah well, better luck next time!

The chicken was from M&M’s Meat Shop, it’s a single serving boneless, skinless chicken breast stuffed with broccoli and cheese and battered. You stick it in the oven for 30 mins at 400 degrees and presto! Dinner! It was really good too! Nice and tender, the meat was moist and practically fell apart when you cut it. The filling was really tasty and the batter was light enough to add flavour and texture without making you feel like you’re filling your stomach with fat. All in all, I totally recommend them even if they are 7 points each. 🙂 Just don’t cook your veggies and your chicken breast on the same baking tray at the same time…or if you do, check on the veggies! lol.
