Leaping for…Milk?

9 Jul

I got so excited after I had dinner and realized I had enough points left to have a glass of milk I actually leaped up from my seat and hustled my way over to the fridge all while doing a little happy jig. I must have looked so silly but who cares; I got a glass of milk! 😀  This may seem like a stupid thing to be excited about but I had a pasta dish for dinner and it totally made me want milk and I didn’t think I’d be able to but since my lunch was so low in points I had enough left over for milk. That’s two days in a row I got to have a glass! Ok, I will stop being so happy about it now…well, on here anyways…:P

There wasn’t any huge food tease today, no cakes or cookies…not even a cupcake, well…there were cupcakes left over from yesterday but they were far away from me and stale so they definitly weren’t tempting! I almost had a fruit crisis though, oh the horrors! I took 2 nectarines with me but they were not good so there was a serious concern I would starve by the end of day cause I didn’t have my afternoon snack. Luckily my lunch kept me filled long enough to get me home but I think I need to stock my desk with something that doesn’t go bad but is low in points in case of emergency. lol.

So far today I have eaten:

3/4 cup Honey Nut Cheerios = 2 points

1/2 cup 1% milk = 1 point

1 banana = 2 points

1 bagel = 4 points

1 bowl Weight Watchers Veggie Soup = 0 points

2 triangles Laughing Cow Light Cheese = 1 point

1 apple = 1 point

1 cup Sidekicks Tomato Alfredo = 8 points

Mixed Veggies = 0 points

1 cup 1% milk = 2 points

I have eaten 21 points today; only 2 points left! I haven’t figured out what I am going to snack on to use up the last 2 points but I will find something…I always do! 🙂

The weather is sitting around 30 degrees celcius today, which is awesome! The office is freezing cause of the air conditioning, sigh, so during the day I have no problem eating but when I get home the apartment is warm and a bit stuffy so it makes me not want to eat. I remember having this problem when I still lived with my parents; their house would get hot at the beginning of summer and stay that way the whole season – even the cats didn’t want to eat! I think this is a fairly common thing; I can’t be the only person who doesn’t want to eat when it is hot, right? I had to remind myself that just cause I am toasty and not feeling hungry that is my body tricking me and I still have to eat!
